Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Location: Osun
Area of Specialization: Haematology & Blood Transfusion
Functions
Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:
- Collecting, examining and analyzing specimen from patients to provide the information required by Medical Officer for diagnosis and treatment.
- Preparing chemical solution, reagents, slides and culture media for laboratory tests.
- Caring for and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Carrying out microscopic examination of specimen for pathogens and any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate must possess five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate or NECO.
- In addition, candidate must have successfully completed three years training in a recognized institution and obtained the Registration of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria for Technician Cadre.
Conditions of Service
- This is similar to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Tertiary Health institution in Nigeria.
Salary
CONHESS 06 Step 1 - (N623,056.00) - per annum.
