Job Title: Senior Scientific Officer (Audiologist)
Location: Osun
Functions
Successful candidates will be required to perform the following duties:
- Keeping of adequate and confidential records of the unit activities and her clients.
- Perform audiological assessment of patients/clients.
- Participate actively in planning and execution of rehabilitation modalities for hearing impaired patients.
- Participate in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with balance disorders.
- Counselling of patients with speech and hearing disorders.
- Training and rehabilitation of hearing impaired patients using total auditory rehabilitation techniques.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the head of department from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate must possess a good Masters Degree in Audiology/Special Education from a recognized institution plus evidence of completion of or exemption from N.Y.S.C.
- Possession of a Ph.D in Audiology will be an added advantage.
- Candidate with relevant experience in a hospital based audiological/speech therapy centre has an added advantage.
- All applicants must be duly registered with the relevant Regulatory Professional Bodies.
Conditions of Service
- This is similar to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Tertiary Health institution in Nigeria.
Salary
CONHESS 09 Step 01 - (N1,316,488.00) - per annum.
