The Catalyst for Global Peace and Social Justice (CPJ) is a faith based organization setup by committed and credible Christian leaders in Nigeria and committed to the enthronement of peace, prosperity and social justice for all nations. The formation of CPJ is based on the understanding of the role of human governance to protect citizens, punish those who do wrong and promote the general welfare of citizens.

CPJ works with faith based and secular organizations committed to peace and social justice irrespective of faith, race or nationality. The vision of CPJ is a world of harmony, abundance and solidarity and the mission is to act as catalyst to empower citizens to work for peace and social justice.

The CPJ is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the vacant position in its headquarters in Lagos:

Job Title: Programme Officer

Location:
Lagos

Primary Responsibilities

The Programme Officer shall be responsible for the development and management of the programmes of the Centre. He/She shall be accountable to the Executive Director. The responsibilities include:
  • Strategic Planning and Development
  • Programme Management
  • Advocacy and Campaigns
  • Human Resource Management
  • Financial Management
Others:
  • Produce reports as are required for the proper functioning of the organisation
  • Represent the organisation delegated by relevant supervisors
  • Take active part in the activities of the organization.
  • Assume any other responsibility relevant to the position and as may be assigned by relevant supervisors.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor's degree in any field
  • A higher degree will be an added advantage
Experience:
  • Minimum of four years post NYSC experience as a Programme Assistant or Programme Officer.
  • Sound knowledgeot project management
Skills and Abilities:
  • Communication and Analytical skills
  • Advocacy and Campaign skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work without supervision
