The CPJ is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the vacant position in its headquarters in Lagos:

Job Title: Finance and Admin Officer

Location:
Lagos

Primary Responsibilities
  • The Finance and Admin officer will lead the management of the CPJ’s finances as well as all administrative issues.
  • He/She shall be accountable to the Executive Director.
The responsibilities include:
Financial Management:
  • Lead the process of financial planning for the CPJ including three year plans and annual budget.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports
  • Ensure annual external audit and filling of papers at the Corporate Affairs Commission.
  • Compute and ensure the payment of PAYE/NHF/Pension Withholding tax are deducted and timely remitted to relevant agencies.
  • Provide financial advice to the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees.
Administration:
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures necessary to ensure value for money in procurement of and utilisation of CPJ’s services and goods.
  • Provide logistics support to the Staff, Consultants and clients of the organisaton.
  • Document and file properly CPJ’s documents, publications and assets.
Others:
  • Produce financial reports as are required the proper functioning of CPJ.
  • Represent the organisation as delegated by relevant supervisors
  • Take active part in the activities of the organisation.
  • Assume any other responsibility relevant to the position and as may be assigned by relevant supervisors.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Minimum of HND or Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • A higher degree will be an added advantage
Experience:
  • Minimum of two years post NYSC experience as a Finance
  • Officer/Cashier or Finance Assistant.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting software and packages is necessary.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Administrative skills and expertise in documentation and filling.
