Overview of the Role
The ideal candidate will be a person with experience in general management. An individual, who is decisive, has a sense of urgency and result orientation - thereby delivering objectives and increasing performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee activities directly related to providing services.
- Direct and coordinate activities of the business
- Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
- Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee
- Driving sustainable and continuous optimisation of the business system by embedding process management and lean thinking
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
Requirements
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Performance Management, Staffing, Management Proficiency, Coordination, Coaching, Developing Standards, Financial Planning and Strategy, Process Improvement, Decision Making, Strategic Planning, Quality Management
Educational Qualifications
- A graduate of a reputable university with a background in Human Resource or Law
- Possession of an MBA will be an added advantage
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
