African Markets Internship Programme in Abuja & Lagos
The African Markets Internship Programme (AMIP) is The Tony Elumelu Foundation's flagship leadership development programme, designed to enhance fast-growing African companies with the support of MBA and MPA students from top business and policy institutions with a passion for private sector-led African economic development.
The Foundation is currently seeking host companies in Abuja and Lagos to provide high impact 8-10 week internship-projects for selected, high performing students between May and September in 2013.
Host Company Eligibility Criteria
- Medium-scale, African-owned and operated business (at management team level)
- Revenue of USD 250,000 to USD 5 million per year and 3+ years of operations
- Must participate in recruitment and required orientation and closing events
- Must provide in-house orientation prior to on-boarding your Associate(s)
- Must assign a senior level supervisor to the Associate(s) and articulate a clear project assignment
- Must provide a stipend and transportation (rates negotiable based on the company size)
The Tony Elumelu Foundation will cover the costs of recruitment, visas, and accommodation, and will also provide related programme activities for the associates and host company CEOs.
