Job Title: Registrar
Location: Benin
Responsibility
- The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University. He is also the Secretary to both the Senate and Governing Council.
- The Registrar shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day running of the University.
- The person who will be Registrar. given the complexity and scientific nature of administrative processes of 21st century University, must not only be a goal-getter, but must also be able to show drive, exceptional initiative, great ability for institutional networking with the outside world and must have a suave mien that typifies a 21st century world class university.
Qualification and Experience
- A good Honours Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University and must have a minimum of Fifteen (15) years cognate experience in a university or any other tertiary institutions, out of which Five (5) years must have been spent in a position not less than Deputy Registrar in a tertiary institution.
- The possession of a Higher Degree as well as membership of relevant professional bodies are added advantages. Candidates should not exceed 55 years of age on appointment.
Tenure
- The successful candidate shall be appointed for a single term of five(S) years.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable for the post of a Registrar in Nigerian Universities and as may be determined by the University Governing Council from time to time.
