Job Title: Regional Manager - Card Payments/POS
Location: Lagos
Job Purpose
POS manager is focused on delivering compelling solutions that meet the current and emerging payment needs for Issuers, Merchants and Consumers.
Specifically, this individual is responsible for the management of Pos Terminals, driving card transactions, MPOS, Agency Banking, Purchase and IMS.
The individual is to refine and execute strategies to grow activation and usage of cards, and optimize the business models to grow into new pool of transactions in IMS, Purchase and Agency Banking.
The Manager will own the strategy and roadmap to execute and ensure optimization of the POS terminals. The successful candidate will develop leadership through research, best practices sharing, and partnership with other units within the business to increase utilization on cashless transaction. This role will work cross-functionally to drive execution on cards payments analytics, marketing, and Sales.
Responsibilities
The POS product manager is also responsible for coordinating all the meetings, and activities relating to retail purchase channels such as POS, customer experience on channel usage.
The POS product manager is also responsible for managing Mpos, Agency Banking, Purchase and IMS.
Responsible for improving and increasing corporate customer acquisition and retention on our Digital Payment Platforms - Payments and collections.
Understand and communicate the regulations/requirements for acceptance of payment cards
Oversee projects and interact with POS vendors and payment processors to ensure that hardware and software made available.
Work with senior management on developing and executing a POS technology strategy.
Manage the development, testing, implementation, and support of POS systems due to new payment products or enhancements to existing products
Coordinate with payment processors on determining acceptance of POS systems and the proper software version to be used.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for monitoring the performance of POS as a whole and tracking the performance of the channels across touch points

Vendor SLA management
Constantly reviews, prioritizes and manages product performance against targets by tracking all recorded performance and activity measures.
Qualification/Requirements
An appropriate business related Degree with a financial component, or other related disciplines.
5-6 years of experience in telco, banking, payments and collections with a proven product management track record in the financial services industry.
Product Development
In-depth knowledge of POS and Merchant Acquiring Business, Detailed knowledge of alternative Collection Channels
Relationship Management
Extensive experience in customer engagements and management to accurately identify customer requirements and proffer the appropriate solutions
Channel Development
Understanding digital channels, digital payment channels, multi-bank collections platforms and digital payment architecture
Strong public relation, leadership skills, great client and employee relation
Extremely aggressive to business growth and self-motivated.
