Job Title: Customer Sales Clerk

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Processes customer payments, including other cash management and recording.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives products selected by customer.
• Totals price and price on products/services purchased by customer using the company’s payment software.
• Accepts payment and makes change for customers.
• Bags products for customers.
• Records amount of cash in register at the end of shift.
• May calculate sales discount to determine price.
• Tags prices on products.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Accuracy & Attentive to details.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills

Requirements
Education and Experience:

• Ordinary National Diploma in Accounting.
• 1-2 years sales clerk experience from a reputable organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
