National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Invitation for Aptitude Test

Posted on Mon 18th Feb, 2013 - hotnigerianjobs.com --- (394 comments)

National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) - The Commission was established by the NIMC Act No. 23 of 2007, with responsibilities for implementing the National Identity Management System; managing the National Identity Database; issuing General Multi-purpose (smart) Cards (GMPCs); and providing Identity Verification Services in Nigeria.

National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) invites candidates who applied for the its Massive Nationwide Graduate & Experienced Recruitment 2012 to come for aptitude test. The positions were advertised in December, 2012.

Below is a sample text message sent by NIMC.

Sender: NIMC-JOBS

Dear Applicant,
Please print your exam slip for NIMC jobs from www.nimcjobs.com
Your ARN is: XXXXXXXXXXXX
Also come along with a valid ID to the exam center.

If you applied and haven't received any sms or email invitation,  please be patient, you could still be invited.
The Aptitude Test is starting on Saturday, 23rd February 2013 till March 2013. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com

The Aptitude Test are to be done in batches, about 158,000 candidates applied for the advertised positions, I don't really know how many were invited for the Test, but some people were even scheduled to take the Test on Sunday, 24th February.

Some shortlisted candidates have been complaining that the exam center given to them is different from the preferred center they chose during the application.

Wishing all of you goodluck.

Candidates who applied for the recruitment should:
Click here to print their Examination slip

For those who cant remember their Reference Number (ARN)

For those who couldn't remember when the advert was advertised should:

NB: Candidates Should come along with a valid ID Card to the exam center.

This recruitment exercise is part of the human resource restructuring by the NIMC and targeted towards the proposed formal launch of the scheme in 2013, as well as to achieve its mandate of providing a functional National Identity Management System for Nigeria. NIMC would, therefore, like to recruit the best available talents to fill several positions within the Commission.

Why bother the unemployed in Nigeria? As has been the case with other vacancies in Govt. Agencies in Nigeria, the positions have been shared by those in Government. The Presidency, Minister, of course; we know what happened in the Immigration recruitment, NSCDC, etc First lady, Senators, Reps., etc. 1,750 vacancies to be competed for by 158,000 candidates. This is ridiculous! Anyway, I wish those whjo may want to bother themselves goodluck. Tony, Lagos.

Why the change of examination centre? FUTA, Akure is quite far from my location but that's not the pressing issue yet. Is this recruitment going to be as usual?

All the same, best of luck to all applicants. Endeavour to believe in yourself because it can only get better even without government's work.

I dont like the scattering of unemployed youth round the country especially posting someone to a far distant state for just an aptitude test.U people never considered expences, inconviniences, transprot risk on the job seekers.Well I hope that you people intention for doing that is what it.

This is incredible. What is the basis of posting some body to a far exam center other than the State He/She chose at the time of applying for the job. This is a direct way of discouraging the applicants from writing the aptitude test because the preferred applicants have been selected already. Please they should stop deceiving Nigerians.

But why is the Nigerian govt.treating it's people like we are here to serve them and if not for the people(Nigerians) who put them in these positions they now use to oppress people, they'll be there in the 1st place. Why did they ask for preferred test location when they already have their hidden agenda. Why post someone from Abuja to Akure for an aptitude test and not considering accommodation, transportation etc just in the bid to discourage them. Even till now I haven't received any text message, I was just adviced by a friend to check my verification number on d site and I saw my exam slip. We appreciate all the effort put into developing the country but,"what is worth doing is worth doing well".

They asked us to choose our preferred test location...I chose Abuja cause of its proximity only to check online yesterday and found out that my centre is Illorin, more than 8 hrs from my present location...First am not taking that risk, secondly consider the money that will be spent on transportation, feeding, and accommodation without any gaurantee that one will secure the said jobs due to the policy of ''Sharing the available position'' among the elites in the country (a clear example is the INEC recruitment)...I speak for my self when I say there's foul play in this recruitment process...same with INEC recruitment, punishing graduates in the name of job recruitment is bad!...God help this country...

Every sunset gives us one day less to live! But every sunrise give us, one day more to hope! So, hope for the best.
The HOPE, The STRUGGLE and The HARD WORK towards a goal/ success is part of the rewards. Achieving goal itself is not the whole reward........ Don't always think negative, God is still on d throne. Either u believe or not, we av more dan 140 million people in Nigeria, and just 158 thousand applied & invited for d aptitude text, and u are among, isn't dat success/goodluck for u. It means God is @ work on you. Pls think positive. BEST WISHES.
