Water Treatment Operator at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)

IITA seeks suitable Nigerian for the position below at the Institutes Headquarters, Ibadan:

Job Title: Water Treatment Operator

Ref:IITA-HR-NRS2017-009
Location: Ibadan
Recruitment Type: National (3-year renewable contract)

Responsibilities

• Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
• Carry out operation and maintenance of water treatment plant, swimming pool plant, sewage treatment plant and dam pumping stations;
• Dose chemicals for processing of water and waste water;
• Clean water treatment plants, swimming pool plants, sewage plant, pump stations and its surroundings;
• Take hourly reading and record it in operation production sheet;
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor;

Requirements

• OND/Trade Test I/Artisan Certificate in Mechanical Engineering with at least Three (3) years relevant experience

Competencies:

• Ideal Candidate must:
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Be able to run shift duty.
