Nigeria LNG Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989, to harness Nigeria's vast natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export. The company has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited, which provides shipping services for NLNG and Nigeria LNG Ship Manning Limited which provides personnel for all of NLNG’s Vessels.Our LNG is delivered to ports in cities around the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Principal Pipeline Engineer - Flow Assurance

The Job:
The appointee will be required to provide specialist expertise in the area of pipeline engineering, review new pipeline technologies and sponsor trials within NLNG with aim of incorporation into either new projects or existing operations as well as create, revise, & review engineering standards and procedures required to ensuring fit-for-purpose pipeline technologies and optimization of NLNG pipeline asset life cycle cost while meeting NLNG’s Goal Zero HSE Objectives.

The Duties:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Apply modeling and simulation techniques to formulate the basis for pipeline model development and desired steady state hydraulics for operating points for pipeline and transmission systems, and interrogate and analyze simulation results in collaboration with other flow assurance specialists.
• Define and specify all interfaces to assure mechanical and functional compatibility and integrity while taking into account product specifications, metering and corrosion management requirements, design of cathodic protection (CP), Instrumentation protective function (IPF) as total system functionality requirements.
• Develop and maintain pipelines and gas transmission systems, and Right of Way; provide specialist expertise in procedure, implementation and review of operation, maintenance, rehabilitation and abandonment of pipeline systems.
• Provide specialist expertise in design, material and construction specification, yard fabrication, field installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of pipelines and gas transmission systems.
• Design the layout of pipelines and transmission systems in accordance with applicable legislation, standards, and HSE requirements taking into account maximum operating conditions, requirements for pressure, requirements for optimal storage, and metering, loading and pumping/compressing facilities.
• Define and specify requirements for total pipelines and transmission system functionality options and impacts on pipeline size, configuration, flow line architecture and layout, provisions for future expansion or modifications and effects of routing alternatives on overall system functionality.

Qualification/Experience
The right candidate should:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in Petroleum, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil Engineering.
• Possess a minimum of 12 years post-NYSC experience; out of which minimum of 8 years must have been spent in a pipeline construction, maintenance, engineering, operation or project position and minimum of 4 years in a senior pipeline engineer position in a reputable organization, preferably an Oil & Gas company.
