would u blame this companies for what they do????......for crying out loud we are too much.....mordan 6million graduates....how do u expect the HR of a company to do its selection process....just put ur self in their shoes too...u put out an application for all categories of graduates 1st class 2.1 2.2,3rd class nd even pass.for all age category....how the heck do u expect them to conduct test for all of us without incurring too much cost....fine they want to employ....but they aint gonna waste all their resources to do so..so it still comes down to using criterias to cut down the crowd.....do u know nigerian brewries only employ 1st class now...but they dont tell u in their advert...in fact they call for 2.2...u waste ur transport fair,,they pack all of us in the national art theater as usual....at the end of the day u dont hear jack from dem again....

Graduates like you all are quarreling about 2.1, 2.2 when you know very well that grading do matter. I don't know if your lecturers didn't tell how important it is to at least graduate with a 2.1.
When your 2.1 colleagues where busy studying late at night and earlier in the semester, you were busy doing what only God knows.
When you start your own company maybe you should employ a bunch of 3rd class and pass & a dozen 2.2.

As for me I have applied. If you know you have "AGE DECLARATION" and no birth certificate don't bother to apply. You can still apply but don't expect a call-up; even if you do get a call-up you won't make it pass the interview.

Hello Nigerians!,the discrimination b/w BSc. and HND Certificateas should seize to happen.Lots of courses in the Universities are run for 4yrs while all HND go for 2yrs ND,IYR I.T and then 2Yrs HND + NYSC.With these nos.of academic period, HND holders at times proffer better experiences in various disciplines! Govt. should think otherwise if Polytechnic education should continue in Nigeria pls.

I must say, I have really had a good time, and had a good laugh reading these comments.

I have seen talents reading through your comments above.

Some of u would make it as comedians. Some as Counsellors, Some Advocates, some Human Rights Activists, Some as Motivational Speakers, Comperes and Actors. Believe me. I have seen talents.

It shows to me again that there is hope for the Nigerian Youths of a brighter tomorrow. Il advise. Discover Yourselves. Discover the YOU in you.

As for jobs and grades. I have worked and still work. I made a 2.1 and I must tell u. I EARNED MY GRADES. I did not steal it. I did not buy it. It was not given (dashed) to me. I was determined not to graduate with no less than a 2.1. I put in my all and best and God that rewards the GOOD intentions of the heart saw me thru my stay and gave me my desires.
Especially with the nation we find ourselves in. I just had to make at least a 2.1.
At least for the sake of tomorrow, at least to say thank you to my parents for making the effort to send me to school and to show them it was no waste. Thank God He helped me.
Aside from working in an org. I have my own thing I do. (I used to do it before I ever started working). Working now is a phase for me. When I am done. Il go back to what makes ME, ME.

God can help you too. U may be feeling so bad with the situation of the society you find yourself. You may feel so angry with everything and anything. Take those aggressions to God in humility and with a right heart.

Make sure at all times that you do your best whenever and wherever you have the opportunity. (It could be with your own thing or another's.)

Your TIME, TURN for a job, is coming. How prepared are you to handle it?

Now even if you think by human standards you do not qualify, God is a merciful God but you sure need a right kind of heart to receive.

Meanwhile, what's that you have in your hand? Think of what you can do at least not to stay idle. I hope you know you have to build a CV before that job comes up. God Bless u all.

When I said you have to do something and not stay idle. I mean something positive. Go learn something that will add value to you, add to your certifications, bring up something you have inside of you to the world, etc.
Thank you.

Why not make the grades open and allow people to show what they can offer rather than limit them. your grade in school should not determine your future but your now and how you perfomed in the interview should be the yard-stick.we have seen third class beat first class in an interview. afteral 'examination is not the true test of knowledge but a criteria for accessing knowledge'
