Job Position: Accountant - Invoicing Officer

Job I.D: 44
Location: Lagos

Roles and Responsibilities

Implement communication channels with other departments to ensure completion of needed paper work.
Comply with guidelines for the invoicing process that complies with the organization procedures.
Provide supervision to team members to achieve accurate invoicing process.
Monitor the invoicing processes to assure timely completion.
Check for errors and omissions prior to communicating invoices for delivery.
Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
Prepare, verify, and process invoices and coding payment documents.
Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.
Data enter invoices for payment.
Process backup reports after data entry.
Manage the weekly cheque run.
Record all cheques.
Prepare vendor cheques for mailing.
List all vendor cheques in the log book.
Prepare manual cheques as and when required.
Maintain listing of accounts receivable and payable.
Maintain the general ledger.
Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers.
Print and distribute monthly financial reports.

Qualifications and Skills

B.Sc in Accounting or any related field.
Good Command of English.
MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
Communication skills.
Supervisory skills.
Attention to Detail.
Time Management.
2 - 3 years.
