The Yakubu Gowon Centre for National Unity and International Co-operation is an N.G.O. that has been working in about two decades to build a strong and united Nigeria. Its activities include management of International grants for health interventions.

The Centre seeks immediate employment of the following:

Job Title: M&E Assistant

Summary of Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the M&E Assistant will:

• Collect and collate monthly programmatic data and reports sent by, ZCs, States and implementing partners.
• Carry out Data check, editing and cleaning in preparation for data analysis under the supervision of the M&E Officer.
• Document data errors and communicate to M&E officer
• Liaise with Zonal Coordinators, State PSM Officers and State RBM Managers on issues related to quality of data received from them
• Carry out data cleaning
• Enter all data into the program database.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of programmatic reports using existing filing systems
• Generate monthly and quarterly implementation reports using standard reporting templates
• Translate reports in form of charts and graphs
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the M & E Manager and Officer

QUALIFICATIONS and SKIILS
• B.Sc. in Science, or Social Sciences, minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in the relevant area.
• At least 3 years work experience in a data processing environment, preferably in a Malaria Program
• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with other team members
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Experience in word processing, use of MS Excel, MS Access or any database management package.
• Preliminary skills in statistical analysis software.
