Position Description

• Understand the bank’s current system architecture.
• Work with the business to design cutting edge custom-applications that will allow our meet business to stay ahead of the competition and achieve their strategic goals.
• Take the leading role in the design of new solutions and engender innovation within the team.
• Ensure the design of applications according to business specifications

Key responsibilities

• Recommend and design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs, delivering the technical visualization of proposed applications for approval by the business and execution by the development team.
• Assist in the preparation of technical plans and produce detailed component specifications, translating these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
• Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration and ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications

• Min. B.Sc. Degree

Experience

• Project Management Certification
• Demonstrable Programming skills
• Demonstrable knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems

Required Competencies
Technical competencies

• Ensure processes are in place for minimizing system/application downtime
• Set procedures for backing up applications and related data.

Personal Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent customer relationship and ability to manage client expectations
• Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies; flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously
• Strong team-orientated interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people at all levels
