Job Title: Network Management System Lead

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• The NMS Lead will be responsible for the OSS operations including but not limited to network inventorisation, service provisioning, network configuration, monitoring, surveillance and fault management support on the elements and components. He/She will ensure high performance of the Converged Network Services for the success of the company
• Other Responsibilities
• InfoVista utilization optimization, management and integration with other telecom/BSS system
• Trouble ticketing system design, development and implementation for the business.
• Design, development and maintenance/operations of Billing solutions for the business
• Implementation of Real time Video wall dash board for but not limited to Network Service management center
• Delivering full Service Assurance and service fulfilment solutions
• Overall OSS solution architect design, development and delivery
• Ensure that vendor implementation is aligned with strategy and solution architecture
• Ensure that all projects managed are met on time and within budget
• Finalize all OSS related business processes (service provisioning and activation, configuration, inventory management, service management,
• Participates in and drives design sessions with vendors and with internal resources.
• Creates and maintains the Use Cases, Interface Specifications,and Functional Requirements Document
• Drives the technical resolution of issues arising from changes to scope, requirements, design, etc.
• Reviews the Technical Architecture documents to ensure all required functionality is implemented

Qualifications & Competencies

• Works with Documentation to ensure accurate representation of design and capability within technical publications
• Perform technical and functional presentations different departments
• Review and contribute to implementation design documents
• Bachelor's Degree in Applied Computer Science/Communications Engineering or related field
• Minimum 6 years working experience with minimum 4 years' experience in the telecommunications sector and 2 years in managing OSS projects
• Strong knowledge in data Communication and Data Networks
• Experience in IT integration, telecom billing, OSS, Call Center, and CRM solution definition, design, and development
• Functional expertise in business process reengineering, transformation, organizational design/change management, implementation planning and execution, migration and conversion, testing and/or training
• Experience with designing, developing, enhancing and supporting production applications
• Full SDLC knowledge is a must
• Ability to adapt to emerging industry leading information management technologies
• Must be able to prioritize and organize workload, perform under pressure and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are required.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must
• Proactive and innovative thinker
• Demonstrate experience with project coordination and vendor management would be an asset.
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server,
• Experience with Unix would be an asset
• Experience with BMC Remedy Service management, Oracle
• Metasolv, Info Vista would be an asset
• Web development experience would be an asset
• An understanding of ITIL and ETOM standards would be an asset
