Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (RC 638640), is one of the eleven successor distribution companies of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). Kaduna Electric, a registered trademark of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, is licensed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to distribute and retail electricity within a service coverage area of Northwestern-most of Nigeria. It has its Headquarters in Kaduna, with offices in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

Kaduna Electric is looking to employ young, vibrant professionals to fill the position below in the Energy Metering and New Connections department:

Job Title: Officer Metering Analyst

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Kaduna State

Job Summary

• Responsible for records of all metering information and customer energy consumption trend analysis.
• Role will provide strategic advisory support to the Head Energy Metering and Energy Management Team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Takes records of all metering information and manage the database
• Customer energy consumption trend analysis
• Conducting advance metering activities (energy aggregation, energy analysis, energy loss analysis, bill determinants and dynamic tariffs etc.)
• Collate and track metering personnel appraisals (weekly, monthly)
• Coordinating with other departments to collate or disseminate metering information
• Process management for the network asset planning processes
• Monitoring alignment of planning process with corporate and regulatory thrusts and requirements
• Provision of support to services to other offices
• Provision of support to Process Management
• Identification, analysis, and recommendation of enhancements in all processes of design and in the information system
• Weekly report on activities

Competency and Skill Requirements

• Excellent understanding of the standards of the energy industry.
• Project Management skills
• Ability to provide timely assessments with limited information and/or assumptions
• Ability to interact favorably with project and work teams
• Be adaptable and able to meet deadlines on assignments, multiple tasking and to work with all types of individuals.
• Strong skills in negotiating, planning, problem solving, and timely problem escalation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Experience and Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or HND preferably in Electrical, Electronics, Data Processing or any relevant field.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Master's degree /or certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years cognate experience
