Yaba College of Technology was established in 1947 as a successor of Yaba Higher College. It attained autonomous status in 1969 by virtue of Decree 23 which granted it the mandate to provide full-time and part-time courses of instruction and training in technology, applied science, commerce and management, agricultural production and distribution; and for research.

Yaba College of Technology has eight schools and thirty-four academic departments with a total of sixty-four accredited programmes, across ND, HND and Post-HND levels.

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Lagos

Duties

• The Bursar shall be the Chief Financial Officer of the Polytechnic and be responsible to the Rector for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the polytechnic.

Qualification
The prospective applicant must:

• Hold a good honours Degree or HND in Accountancy or Finance from recognized institution of higher learning with a professional accountancy qualification.
• Have at least Eighteen (18) years post qualification cognate experience, plus registration with ICAN, ANAN or any other recognized professional accounting body.
• Present evidence of Physical and Medical fitness (from a Government Hospital).
• Be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) packages and accounting softwares.
• Present evidence of Community Service.
• He/She should possess evidence of sound human relations, professional competence, industry, integrity, efficient management of human, financial and material resources.
• Candidates should not be above 55 years.

Terms of Appointment/Condition of Service
The Bursar:

• Shall hold office for a period of five (5) years in the first instance and on such terms and conditions as may be specified in his letter of appointment.
• May be re-appointed for a further period of five (5) years and no more.
