Job Description
The IT (Software) Asset Management Engineer is responsible for the setting up, implementation and management/monitoring of Company IT-Based Asset Integrity Management Services for its Clients.
Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
Provides IT-based asset management services to clients by setting up software, data entry supervision, implementing procedures that provides for maximum value from product and providing support to clients.
Enter and maintain information in the Software Asset Tracking system to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.
Coordinate and maintain client asset information using the Asset Management System
Acquires relevant data and statistics on a periodical basis.
Works with engineer colleagues and client reps in the use of on implementing best practices specific to the product/process.
Interface with colleagues to generate relevant analytics
Proactively engage with clients and provide Best Practices guidance to clients with the goal of getting most value out of software
Identify opportunities to increase client usage of our products and identify new users.
Work closely with the commercial team on potential opportunities. Assist in campaigns on new product placement
Proactively engage with clients to keep them informed of various products with a view on helping them achieve their business goals; proactively solicit client feedback regarding future product development
Work with internal functional teams to ensure that all clients requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
Respond to detailed client enquiries about methodologies and analytics, hold advanced client trainings / workshops; present in seminars
Maintain and communicate accurate records regarding client interaction activities
Frequent on-site client visits
Assisting customers with their licensing agreements in a consultative manner.
Communicate through email, individual interview, group meetings, and presentations to end users, management, developers, and vendors.
Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Asset Management data information.
Tracking/management of products at each client including license status.
Provide support to clients regarding specific vendor product use rights
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in comparable role(s) or role(s) requiring similar responsibilities
Working knowledge in O&M and/or Risk/integrity management services
Good understanding of the key activities involved in operations of heavy industrial production (oil and gas will be beneficial) such that candidate has an excellent appreciation of the client requirements and is able to fully articulate how Company can meet these needs
Strong knowledge & experience with IT asset management software (EAM, ERM, ERP, CMMS, etc.), asset life cycle management processes planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, harvesting and retirement
Strong knowledge of software licensing terms and conditions, agreements and maintenance contracts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer science or other related disciplines.
Years of experience would be considered in absence of degree.
Professional certification would be beneficial.
