Genii Games Limited is a company that primarily caters for the promotion and preservation of indigenous African Cultural values among kids using interactive media such as mobile apps. We are constantly re-imagining and creating products that provide kids with a fun and engaging experience to learn and appreciate their cultural values. We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: 2D/ 3D Animator

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Purpose

• As animator, your main task is to create feature level animations using defined cultural themes especially for kids.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Create and animated characters, environments and effects for children's educational resources
• Develop and manage asset pipelines
• Meet project milestones and deadline set by the team
• Work with a team of writers, concept artists, sound engineers, voice-over artists on storyboards/animatic to bring characters to life
• Animate concepts to meet defined audiences and themes
• Demonstrate a strong sense of performance posing, timing, weight and lip sync
• Deliver quality work in a timely manner

Person Specification

• Proficiency in 2D or 3D modeling and animation tools such as Toon Boom, Adobe Flash, Autodesk Maya, Blender (please indicate the software you're most proficient at)
• Have good drawing skills using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience with an animation studio or participation in an animated short is an added advantage
• Great communication skills and enjoy working in a team
• Knowledge of After Effects is also an advantage
• Have a good working knowledge and understanding of the animation production cycle for multiple media/platforms (web, tv, games)
• Flexibility to develop animations for various uses - games, videos etc.
• This is a full-time role and the candidate will be an essential member of the team and therefore needs to be willing to hit the ground running from day 1.
