Job Title: Bursar

Location: Benin

Responsibility

• The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University. He shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the management of the finances of the University.
• Applicants for the post of Bursar must have in the past exhibited considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity and transparency on matters of financial resource management. Applicant must be in good health and able to endure the rigours of the duties of the Bursar.
• Also, candidates must be found to possess the following qualities: vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, integrity and transparency in private and public life.
• In addition, candidates should have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University, command respect and arouse cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University

Qualification and Experience

• Candidate must possess a good honours Degree, (B.Sc Accounting) from a recognized University, and must be a full member of a recognized professional accounting body such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, ACMA and CPA plus a minimum of Fifteen (15) years cognate experience, at least Three (3) of which must have been spent as a Deputy Bursar in a University, or any other tertiary Institutions.
• Candidate should not exceed 55 years of age on appointment.

Tenure

• The successful candidate shall be appointed for a single term of five(S) years.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable for the post of a Bursar in Nigerian Universities and as may be determined by the University Governing Council from time to time.
