Purpose:
Given the start-up nature of the upstream project, the evolving needs of this position is to organize and manage production operations and engineering works. The prime candidate is expected to work in a team environment to efficiently and safely plan and execute daily production operations and installation of new surface facilities to address priorities as they crystallize. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Operations in areas of responsibility are conducted within HSE compliance and that 100% of assigned employees complete required training.
• Financial statements are correct with respect to produced volumes and Lease Operating Expenses (LOE).
• Surface facilities are operated safely and efficiently so that gas and liquid sales are maximized and SCADA systems are maintained and functional.
• Produced and sales volumes are secured, accurately measured and reported, monitor production and identify uplift / optimization potential.
• Budgetary and Authorisations for Expenditure (AFE) cost estimates, Well plans and procedures that utilize best available / applicable technologies to repair or uplift wells are developed.
• Projects are executed in an efficient manner while providing visible HSE leadership for area of operations.
• Plans for producing assets, asset performance management targets and scorecards and plan for handover of assets from new business development/acquisitions are developed and executed.
• Ownership with Business Development/Petroleum Engineering Manager to create and update the Asset Reference plan jointly is created.
• New opportunities within existing Asset boundaries are identified and matured and alert the Business Development Manager on opportunities outside agreed asset boundary.
• Assets integrity and operational risks identified and ensure risk control measures are developed and strictly adhered to.

• Agreed business control framework including HSE MS operates.

Competencies Required:

• Proficient in making critical decisions under pressure and managing emergency situations with confidence and ease.
• Maintained professional attitude when dealing with others.
• Effective team player, leader and communicator that is results driven, but places high value on safety, the environment, and regulatory compliance. And must be operationally proficient in managing onshore/offshore production operations and surface facilities.
• Strong ability in recruiting, leading, motivating and retaining the workforce required to execute assigned operations in the most efficient manner possible and must be capable of representing the company to negotiate with the governments, communities and landowners.
• Good understanding of best industry practices for execution of assigned operations and be capable of solving problems.
• Ability to manage multiple, fast track projects with dedication to obtaining desired results and a strong drive for continuous improvement.

Education:

Experience:    
Minimum 15 years of industry experience is required, with emphasis on Production Operations and Engineering.
