Job Title: Finance Officer - Revenue Accounts

Reports To: Revenue Accounts Supervisor

Purpose Statement:
To effectively process all passenger coupons in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that all payments and receipts are made according to agreed terms and that each customer account is reconciled and managed on a regular basis. Application of relevant Revenue Accounting procedures in all processes

Key Accountabilities

• Ensuring that all coupons are returned and controlled from all of the ATO and CTO sites around the network on a weekly basis in accordance with time requirements
• Process effectively all passenger coupons accurately and efficiently
• Play a major role in the review and validation of all Ticket Sales Returns.
• Operate within Revenue Accounting Policies and Procedures
• Work with the Revenue Accounting Supervisor in enforcing procedures
• Support the Revenue Accounting Supervisor in providing training and insight to the ATO and CTO staff necessary to prevent Ticket Fraud. Copied from: hotnigerianjobs.com
• Reconciliation of all Forward Sales, Flown Revenue, Tax and Revenue Control Accounts for review with the Revenue Accounts Supervisor
• Ensure that relevant passenger taxes are fully reconciled and settled in accordance with requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• This position requires a graduate with a university degree or its equivalent (HND) preferably in accounting.
• ICAN membership would be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years experience in the Finance department of a reputable organization preferably in the Accounts Payable unit.

• Sound understanding of foundation accounting and double entry.
• Exposure to financial accounting systems, spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office tools
