University of Ibadan Recruits Deputy Bursar

The University of Ibadan (UI), established in 1948, first as a constituent college of the University of London, became a full fledged University in 1962 and has continued to blaze the trail as the foremost Nigerian University and the crucible of human capacity development in Nigeria and indeed in sub-Saharan Africa. On account of its size, the numbers of faculties and institutes, the huge number of courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and competent reach to the larger society through the output and community services, UI remains the flagship of higher education in Nigeria.

Job Title: Deputy Bursar

Duties of the Post
The Deputy Bursar who shall be under the general control of the Bursar of the University shall assist him in the day-to-day financial affairs of the University.

Qualification/Experience

• Candidates must possess a good honours Degree in Accountancy or related discipline from a recognized University with at least 12 years cognate experience in higher institution of learning as well as professionally-recognized Accountancy qualification.
• Candidates must have served for not less than 4 years on the post of Chief Accountant.
• Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
• Demonstrable mastery of IT.

In addition, candidates for the positions of the Deputy Bursar are expected to:

• be persons with good leadership qualities who can inspire and motivate a crop of Officers and get the best out of them;
• be persons of high integrity;
• be persons who enjoy excellent physical and mental health;
• be focused and innovative

Salary: CONTISS 14 (N3,3631 34- N4,462,271.00)

Conditions of Service
As applicable in Federal Universities and as may be determined by the Governing Council of the University from time to time.
