NUC should also look into higher institutions that run postgraduate programmes in affiliation to other institutions and fail to award certificates to people, even after four years of completing the programme.

If other regulatory authorities could brace up to their responsibilities just like NUC has fearlessly taken the bull by the horn, then Government institutions in Nigeria may find their feet. Thump up to NUC & long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

i imagine hw many nigerians will be employed if this so called illegal universities are upgraded and so helped and funded by our government.I think its high time nigerians support good movements made by individuals to help reduce the number of unemployed in this nation.the only reasons why this institutions are found wanting is lack of funds.why won't nuc help them in getting finance rather than shorting them down.As for me,this country is in the dark.

1. I appreciate NUC for your actions in bringing sanity into our educational system.

2. More actions are still required in other licenced Universities expecially State owned Universities. The progressives strongly believe that the purposes of Programme and institutional accreditation have been defeated since many programmes are now accredited even with borrowed facilities. Many Universities without lecture rooms, adequate Lecturers, Staff offices, Standard Library, laboratories and other facilities are now fully accredited. Where are we going from here?

3. I advise NUC to be more objective and proactive.

University of Jos is running an unaccredited program. They students of science lab tech are made to pay huge amount of tuition fees, yet after graduation we are not entitled to the mandatory NYSC mobilization. We have currently spent over one year at home no certificates and no hope for callup letters for service. NUC should investigate this unfair and unjust treatment of Nigerian students or else we will take the law into our own hands...we have suffered enough!
