National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research: Recruitment 2010 (Over 20 Graduate/ Experienced Positions)

National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research - Federal Public Service Recruitment 2010.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above vacant positions in the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research.

A.) NON-RESEARCH CADRE

1.) Fisheries Superintendent:  CONTISS 06

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses a National Diploma in fisheries plus at least two (2) years cognate experience.

2.) Laboratory Technologist CONTISS 07

Qualifications:

Candidate should possess West African School Certificate, plus registration with the National institute for Science and Technology (NIST), or Institute of Science Technology (LONDON) or Associate membership of the institute of Medical Laboratory Technology (ATMLT) of Nigeria.

3.) Higher Technical Officers: CONTISS 07

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses Higher National Diploma in Architecture and should be experienced in the use of Auto card, plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

4.) Education Officer II: CONTISS 07

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses B.Sc (Ed), B.A (Ed), B.Ed or PGDE in English language, Mathematics, Agriculture, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Food and Nutrition Government and Commerce

5.) Administrative Officer Grade II:

Qualifications

Candidates should posses a good degree in Public Administration,  Arts or Social Science plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate. Membership of a professional body is an added advantage.

6.) Confidential Secretary I: CONTISS 07

Qualifications:

Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies, including a pass at 120 and 60 words per minute in shorthand and typewriting at 120 and 60 words per minute respectively plus three years cognate experience.

7.) Position: Research Officer II: CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should posses a good degree HND in Mass Communication plus evidence of Completion of NYSC or exemption certificate.

8.) Position: Translator: CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should have first degree in French and must be fluent in French language plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

9.) Position: Computer programmer/Analyst: CONTISS 07

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses a good degree in computer Science plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

10.) Position: Accountant Grade II: CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should posses a good degree in Accounting or Business Administration plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate. Membership of professional Body is an added advantage.

11.) Position: Computer Engineer: CONTISS 07

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses a good degree in Computer Engineering plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

12.) Position: Librarian I: CONTISS 08

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a first degree plus Master in Library Science (MLS), must be a member of Nigerian Library Association
A minimum of one year post professional qualification cognate experience is required, Candidate should be computer literate and conversant with the application of UDC to library operations.

13.) Position: Executive Officers (Accounts): CONTISS 06

Qualifications:

Candidate should possess National Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration from a recognized institution, plus at least two years cognate experience.

14.) Position: Medical Officer: CONTISS 11

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses a good degree in Medicine/Surgery registrable with the medical and Dental Council of Nigeria plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

15.) Position: Staff Nurse: CONTISS 06

Qualifications:

Candidates should posses NRN or NRM or the equivalent qualification plus registration with Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigerian (NMCM)


B.) RESEARCH CADRE

16.) Position: Senior Research Officer: CONTISS 09

Qualification:

Candidates should posses Ph.D plus evidence of Publications, or Master Degree (M.Sc) with at least three years cognate experience in any of the following disciplines Fisheries, Fish General, Fish parasitology, Environmental Biology, Marketing

17.) Position: Research Officer I: CONTISS 08

Qualification:

Candidates should posses M.Sc Fisheries, Taxonomy, Aquaculture, food Science, Botany, Economics, plus three (3) years cognate experience

18.) Position: Research Officer II: CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should possess B.Sc. Fisheries, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Sociology, plus evidence of completion of NYSC or exemption Certificate

19.) Position: Research Officer II Aquaculture Engineering: CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should posses a good degree in civil or Agriculture Engineering registrable with the council for registration of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

20.) Research Officer II (Packaging): CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should posses a good degree in Mechanical Engineering, registrable with the council for regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.

21.) Research Officer II Industrial Engineering: CONTISS 07

Qualification:

Candidates should posses B.Sc Industrial Engineering or B.Sc Mechanical Engineering registrable with the council for regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) plus evidence of completion NYSC or exemption certificate.


Conditions of Service
Condition of service are similar to those Research Institutes in Nigeria.
