The Millard Fuller Foundation, a housing organisation with international affiliation and located in Masaka (near Abuja), is currently seeking to employ a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Officer (Quantities)

Location: Masaka, Nasarawa
Job Type: Contract
Job Field: Building and Construction

Job Description

Forecast the cost of different materials needed for projects from conception to delivery.
Work with estimations of materials and reports directly to Project Management Office (PMO).
Work and coordinate with the Assistant Construction Manager (ACM) and the Construction Manager (CM).
Assist in planning of site storage and distribution of materials.
Work directly with the artisans, Assistant Project Officers (APOs) and the managers of the on-site stores.
Monitor, stop and adjust the material requests on sites.
Prepare bills of quantities and other documentation based on approved drawings from PMO.
Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
Liaise with clients and other construction professionals, such as the ACM and the CM to evolve cost-effective construction methods.

Requirements

B.Sc/HND in Quantity Surveying
Ability to think methodically, and interpret specifications and dimensions
Must be smart and agile
Must be analytical and meticulous with good communication skills
Minimum of 7 -10 years’ experience in project management and construction
Project Management certification is mandatory.
