Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development or related fields from a reputable University. Applicants should possess a Ph.D in any communication-related field, preferably Mass Communication, with at least 15 years teaching and research experience at the University level or a similar level for the position of Professor or 12 years teaching and research experience at the University or comparable level for the position of Reader. Such applicants should be able to teach courses in any of the areas advertised as well as in Language Arts.
b) SENIOR LECTURER
Applicants should possess a Ph.D in any Communication-related field, preferably Mass Communication, with at least nine years teaching and research experience at the University or a comparable level. Such applicants should be able to teach courses in the areas advertised, as well as in Language Arts.
(iii) DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
LECTURER II AREA OF SPECIALIZATION-Language
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in English with special interest in English Phonology and Syntax. Post-PhD University teaching experience would be an advantage.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D degree in French language/Linguistics from a recognized University with not les than 10 years of University teaching and research experience and must have considerable proof of continuing research with a good record of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Applicants should possess a first degree in Dentistry from a recognized University and registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (BOS or its equivalent). A postgraduate qualification in Periodontology (FWACS or FMCDS or its equivalent) from the West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent is also required.
Candidates must show a flair for research as attested to by publications in Scientific Journals or a possession of higher academic degrees.
(II) DEPARTMENT OF RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY (a) LECTURER I(CONSERVATIVE DENTISTRY)
Applicants must possess a basic Dental degree e.g. BDS in Nigeria or any British University or DDS in an American Institution and Fellowship of West African College of Surgeon or National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent.
Applicants must have also been registered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and undergone the NYSC programme.
Applicants must show evidence of high research potentials and teaching capabilities.
b) Lecturer I (PROSTHETIC DENTISTRY)
Applicants must possess a basic dental degree e.g. BDS, in Nigeria or any British University or DDS in an American Institution. In addition, candidates must have passed Part II Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons/National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its recognized equivalent.
Applicants must have also been registered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and undergone the NYSC programme.
Applicants must show evidence of high research potentials and teaching capabilities.
(III) DEPARTMENT OF CHILD ORAL HEALTH LECTURER I (ORTHODONTICS)
Applicants must possess first degree in Dentistry from a recognized University and registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (BDS or its equivalent). A postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics (FWACS or FMCDS or its equivalent) from the West African College of Surgeons or from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent.
Candidates must show a flair for research as attested to by publications in scientific journals or possession of higher academic degrees.
(IV) DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY
(a) PROFESSOR
Applicants must possess a good First degree in Medicine, Dentistry or Anatomy (at least Second Class Upper) with any of the following additional qualifications: Ph.D or MD or Postgraduate Professional
. Fellowship in Medicine/Dentistry of a recognized College, and at least ten (1 O) years ofTeaching and Research at the University level.
Applicants should show evidence of scholarship and tracK record of outstanding research in Anthropology and Forensic in Anatomy with scholarly publications in reputable journals. Preference will be given to medically qualified can..didates whose qualifications must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
To be successful, a candidate is expected to demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, capacity to develop the field/discipline in the department, ability for collaborative and multidisciplinary research and ability to supervise postgraduate students in the field.
(b) SENIOR LECTURER
Applicants must possess a good First degree in any of the following:
MediCine, Dentistry and Anatomy (at least Second Class Upper) with any of the following additional qualifications: Ph.D, MD or Postgraduate Professional Fellowship in Medicine/Dentistry of a recognized College and at least six (6) years of teaching and research experience at University level (relevant to Human Anatomy).
To be successful, a candidate must show evidence of scholarly publication in reputable journals and demonstratable potentials for academic leadership. Possession of knowledge and skills in Molecular and Cell Biology techniques will be an advantage.
c) LECTURER I
Applicants must possess a Ph. 0 in Anatomy or be in the Ph.D Programme with at least 3 years experience in the teaching of Anatomy and must show evidence of research design. OR
Applicants must possess MBBS with an additional qualification e.g. M.Sc. or Ph.D in Anatomy with a minimum of two years teaching experience in Anatomy and evidence of on-going research. Applicants with M.Sc. in Anatomy must show evidence of having registered for a Higher Degree e.g. M. Phil/Ph.D.
d)LECTURER II
Applicants should be medically qualified (MBBS, BDS or equivalent) and have relevant teaching experience in Anatomy. Their qualifications should be registerable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
Applicants must possess M.Sc. in Anatomy with at least 3 years teaching experience in Human Anatomy at the University level. OR
Applicants must possess Ph.D in Anatomy and relevant teaching experience in Human Anatomy.
(V) DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY
LECTURER I/II
Applicants for the position of Lecturer 1111 must possess a Ph.D degree in Biochemistry or be on a Ph.D degree programme, with at least 3 years teaching experience at the University level and must show evidence of current research and publications.

(VI) DEPARTMENT OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY
LECTURER I
Applicants must possess a good First degree in Dentistry from a recognized University and registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (BDS or its equivalent). A postgraduate qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the West African College of Surgeon (FWACS) or from the National Postgraduate Medical College (FMCDS) or its equivalent is required.
Candidates must also show a flair for research as attested to by publications in scientific journals or possession of higher academic degrees.
(VII) DEPARTMENT OF ORAL PATHOLOGY/ORAL MEDICINE LECTURER I
Applicants must have a basic Dental diploma (BDS) or its equivalent
registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. In addition, candidates must have one of the following:
1) Postgraduate Fellowship from either the National or West Africa postgraduate Medical College in Oral Pathology/Oral Medicine.
2) A 2-3 years Masters degree/Residency Programme in Oral Medicine/Pathology from recognized British or American Institutions. In this case, Board Certification in Oral Medicine/Pathology will also be required.
Teaching experience of between 1-2 years at the University level will be an added advantage.
(VIII) DEPARTMENT OF VIROLOGY
LECTURERI/II
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Virology with good knowledge of techniques in Molecular Virology. Applicants for Lecturer I position must possess at least three years of teaching and research (with publications) experience at the University level.
Candidates with M.Sc. degree in Virology and currently registered for Ph.D with at least three years of research or teaching experience at a tertiary institution or research institute may be considered for Lecturer II position. Publications and field experience will be of advantage.
(IX) DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN NUTRITION
(a) LECTURER I
Applicants must possess a B.Sc. degree in Human Nutrition and MBBS with a Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians or National Postgraduate College of Nigeria (or equivalent).
Applicants must possess a BSc. Degree in Human Nutrition/Food Science with M.Sc. Human Nutrition or MPH (Health Promotion and Education/Epidemiology) and Ph.D in Human Nutrition.
In addition all applicants must:
(a) be skilled in Computer applications
(b) have good inter-personal relationship / be able to work as a member of a team.
(c) possess at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
X) DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY
a) LECTURER I
Applicants must possess a good First degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized University and registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MBBS, MBBChir, or equivalent) as well as a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry (FMCPsych, FWACP, or equivalent).
Applicants are to indicate two possible choices among the following sub-specialties as areas of interest: Neuropsychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry.
Applicants must also show evidence of research potentials and publications in reputable academic journals of international standard.
(XI) DEPARTMENT OF PAEDIATRICS
LECTURER I
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer I (Nephrology and Neurology).
1. A good First degree in Medicine from a reputable University and registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
2. Postgraduate Professional Training and Fellowships of the National Postgraduate Medical College or the West African College of Physicians.
3. Teaching experience at undergraduate level.
4. Demonstratable interest in research work.
5. Evidence of publications in reputable academic journals.
Shortlisted applicants are expected to make a departmental presentation in their areas of interest preferably in Nephrology and Neurology before the interview.
(XII) DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL PATHOLOGY
a)LECTURER I
Applicants must possess any of the following:
(a) A degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Pathology or Clinical
(b) A Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Pathologists
(c) A Fellowship of the West African College of Pathologists
In all cases, specialization in Clinical and /or Environmental Toxicology is required. For those with Fellowships, possession of additional postgraduate qualification such as Master of Science will be an added advantage. Teaching experience in a recognized University or in the Postgraduate Programme of a Teaching Hospital is essential. Publications in peer-reviewed journals will also be of a great advantage.
b) LECTURER II/I
Applicants must possess any of the following:
(a) A degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Pathology
(b) A Fellowship of the National Postgraduate College of Pathologists
(c) A Fellowship of the West African College of Pathologists
In all cases, specialization in Immunology and/or Immunology-related disciplined is required.
Applicants who are about to conclude their Ph.D programmes or their Part II Residency programmes may also apply for Lecturer II Position. It is essential that such applicants should be well versed in basic and specialized Immunologic Techniques such as will be useful to many of our Postgraduate Students.
Publications in peer-reviewed Journals will obviously be an added advantage for those who want to be considered for Lecturer I position.
(XIII) DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY MEDICINE
AREA OF SPECIALIZATION
a)LECTURER I OCCUPATION HEALTH UNIT
Applicants should hold the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African College of Physicians in Community Health.
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (Diploma or Masters) or evidence of inclination towards and work experience in Occupation Health will be an added advantage.
b) LECTURER I - HEALTH SERVICE POLICY MANAGEMENT UNIT
Applicants should hold the Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West Africa College of Physicians in Community Health.
Postgraduate qualification in Health Policy and Management will be an advantage.
(XIV) DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOLOGY AND THERAPEUTICS
(a) PROFESSOR/READER IN PHARMACOLOGY:
Applicants must possess a good First degree in Pharmacology or Pharmacy, with a degree of Master and Ph.D in Pharmacology and Therapeutics plus at least 12 years teaching and research experience in a recognized University's Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Applicants must also show evidence of teaching and research leadership in Basic Pharmacology. They must also possess substantial publications in peer reviewed international journals with evidence of established and on-going research and postgraduate supervision. The successful candidate will be expected to play a significant mentoring role to younger colleagues.
b) SENIOR LECTURER IN THE FIELD OF PHARMACOLOGY.
Applicants must possess a good First degree, Master and Ph.D in Pharmacology with a minimum of 6 years post-Ph.D teaching and research experience at the University level. Applicants must show evidence of supervision of graduate students at the University level. They must have publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
c) LECTURER I
Applicants must possess a good First degree, Master and Ph.D degrees in Pharmacology with a minimum of 3 years post-Ph.D teaching and research experience at the University level. Applicants must also have publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
d)LECTURER II
Applicants must possess a good first degree in Pharmacology or Pharmacy and a degree of Master in Pharmacology. They must show evidence of current registration for Ph.D in Pharmacology with substantial progress in Ph.D work in a recognized University.
(XV) DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY LECTURER I
Applicants must be fully qualified medical doctors with the MBBS or its equivalent, registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
They must possess FMCOphth and FWACS or its equivalent and must demonstrate excellent teaching activities and high potentials to conduct research.
A Fellowship or interest in Glaucoma or Neuroophthalmology will be an advantage.
(XVI) DEPARTMENT OF NURSING
(a) PROFESSOR/READER
Applicants must possess the following
i)Basic degree in Nursing from a reputable University, registrable with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
ii)A Ph.D degree in a related field
iii) Adequate Professional competence.
(iv.) At least 9 years of teaching experience in a University (for the position of a Reader) and at least 12 years for the post of Professor.
(v) Outstanding research capability and demonstrable ability to supervise research projects.
(vi) Substantial academic publications in peer-reviewed journals within and outside Nigeria, not less than 70% of which must be in journals of international standard. Not more than 33% of the publications should have been published in the same journal.
b) LECTURER II
Applicants must possess Ph.D. Nursing or M.Sc. Nursing with evidence of reasonable Ph.D work (MCH, Education, Administration, or Mental-Health Psychiatric preferred); with adequate publications and three year’s teaching experience in a recognized university.
c) ASSISTANT LECTURER
M.Sc. in Nursing (MCH, Education, Administration, or Mental-Health Psychiatric preferred).
(XVII) INSTITUTE FOR ADVANCED MEDICAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING
a)SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
Applicants must possess a Ph.D degree in Biomedical Science with at least five years post-qualification experience. Applicants must demonstrate scholarship through adequate publications in reputable peer-reviewed joumals and must also have the ability to initiate and conduct research in Basic Medical Science fields. Experience in Molecular Biology techniques will be of great advantage. Applicants must also possess the ability to lead a research team.
Successful candidates will be expected to initiate and participate in research and training activities of the Institute and perform other additional duties as may be assigned by the Director of the Institute.
b) RESEARCH FELLOW II
Applicants must possess a Ph.D in a Biomedical Science and Postgraduate Fellowship in Medicine with a higher degree in a Life Science or be medically qualified with a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College or the West African College of Physicians or a recognized equivalent which is registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Biomedical Science-related research, Molecular Biology applications, and Research Focus on Genetics Toxicology, infections diseases or Reproductive Health. Research activities, evidence by publications will be an added advantage.
Successful candidates will be expected to participate in research and training activities of the Institute and perform other additional duties as may be assigned by the Director ofthe Institute.

Applicants must possess either the BLS or B.Al8.Sc. or LLB degree plus any of MLS, MLLS or M.lnf.Sc. from a recognized university. Possession of any other recognized qualification will be an added advantage.
In addition to the listed qualifications, candidates must possess a good drive for hard work and commitment to excellence. Above all, candidates MUST be sufficiently proficient in the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to the Management of Infonnation Resources in the context of the Virtual reality of modern library services. In other words, the possession of any Certificate in Computer Application may not necessarily be a sufficient ground for eligibility as the emphasis will be on manifest capacity to utilize the technologies. LECTURER II/I
Applicants must possess a good Bachelor of Pharmacy degree with postgraduate qualifications. A minimum of Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Technology for Lecturer II and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) for Lecturer I. Applicants for Lecturer II must show evidence of progress towards obtaining a Ph.D degree. Relevant teaching experience and publications in learned journals will be an advantage.

Evidence of research leadership must be demonstrated. Applicants must be registered with Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN).
b) SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER 1
Applicants should possess a good First degree, a degree of Master and a Ph.D in Computer Science. Applicants for the post of Senior Lecturer should have at least six years teaching and research experience at the University level and adequate research publications in reputable journals.
Applicants for the post of Lecturer I should have at least three years teaching and research experience at the University level and evidence of research publications in reputable joumals. Applicants must be registered with Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN).

Applicants should have a good First degree, a degree of Master and a Ph.D in Computer Science. Applicants with a Masters degree who are already registered for a Ph.D may apply if they have three years teaching experience in a recognized University or comparable institutions or five years relevant experience in the Industry.
(II) DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS (a) a)LECTURER II
Applicants must have a Ph.D degree in Mathematics or an M.Sc. degree in Mathematics with three years teaching experience in a reputable University. Candidates with a M.Sc. degree must show evidence of registration for a Ph.D degree. Area of specialization is open to all fields of Mathematics. However, applicants working in Computational Mathematics/Mathematical modelling will have an added advantage.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D degree in Urban and Regional Planning OR any of the other Environmental Sciences and have at least 3 years post-Ph.D experience
(II) DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Geography with specialization in Medical Geography or a closely related specialization and should have scholarly publications in reputable joumals plus three years teaching experience at the University level.
Applicants in research institutes with sizeable publications may also be considered.
Applicants with M.Sc. or Ph.D degree but without the relevant experience and publications may be considered for a lower position.
III) DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS
LECTURER II -AREA OF SPECIALIZATION Micro-economic Theory and Macroeconomic Theory and Quantitative Economics.
Applicants must possess Ph.D degree from a recognized University. Possession of relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
In addition, applicants must be able to teach at least two of the following Elective courses:

Evidence of scholarship, as attested to by publications in reputable national and international journals among others, is required in respect of those applying for Lecturer I and Senior Lecturer positions
- Faculty of Technology
(I) DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
Applicants should possess a good first degree (minimum of Second Class Honours, Upper Division) in any field of Engineering and a Ph.D in Agricultural Engineering/Environmental Engineering. Applicants should have at least 3 years of previous teaching and research experience plus adequate published articles in reputable journals. Must be registered with COREN.
(II) DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
PROFESSOR/READER(STRUCTURES)
For Professorship, applicants should have a Ph.D degree in Civil Engineering or any other relevant Engineering discipline with at least 10 years of teaching and research experience in a recognised University or a similar institution.
Applicants should be registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or any other reputable and relevant professional body.
For Readership, applicants should have same qualifications as stated above except that a minimum of 8 years of teaching and research experience in a recognized University or a similar institution would be required.
(III) DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL AND PRODUCTION ENGINEERING
LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D in the relevant field with at least three years of previous teaching and research experience and must have published papers in reputable academic journals.
A Masters degree with sufficient Industrial experience acceptable for COREN registration can also be considered. Such candidates should however show evidence of research potentials. Please note that a Lecturer II plus a minimum of three years experience in the same position can be considered.
IV)DEPARTMENT OF MECHNICAL ENGINEERING
PROFESSOR --AREA OF SPECIALIZATION- Materials Design
READER/PROFESSOR
(i) Applicants should possess a First degree in Materials Engineering and a Ph.D in relevant field from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a University or similar Institution. Such applicants must have registered with COREN and must have significant publications in local and international journals. The successful candidate will be expected to lead teaching
and research in Engineering Materials. .
(ii)Applicants must possess a good First degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D in the relevant field from a recognized University and must be registrable with COREN. Such applicants must have had a minimum of ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a recognized University or similar institution. The successful candidate will be expected to have significant publications in local and international journals and lead teaching and research in the area of Design and Manufacturing.

(I) DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY PUBLIC HEALTH AND PREVENTIVE MEDICINE
a)LECTURER 1 (MEAT INSPECTION/MEAT HYGIENE)
Applicants should possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized University and be registered with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria.
Applicants should possess at least a Master degree in Veterinary Public Health (MVPH), teaching experience in a recognized University and Scientific publications in reputable journals. Possession of a Ph.D (or evidence of registration for a Ph.D) will be an advantage.
