Rossland Screening Solution - Our client, a reputable Hotel in Abuja, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Laundry Attendant

Location: Abuja

Job Description

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hotel are kept properly stocked with clean linens, as well as cleanliness of the hotel

Essential Job Functions

Assist with stripping of dirt linen from the guest rooms as needed
Sort linens for washer
Remove stains from badly soiled linen
Dispose of linen and terry properly
Operate washers and dryers properly as well as ensuring that the correct chemicals (and amounts) are being used
Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized designated places
Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets in accordance with hotel standards
Keep laundry neat and clean
Assist housekeepers in cleanliness of hotel
Assist with cleaning and up-keeping of storage areas
All other duties assigned

Basic Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older
SSCE or equivalent
Must be a resident of Gwarimpa, Abuja
Ability to read, speak and understand the English language
At least 2 years of experience in a laundry role

Preferred Qualifications:

A positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Capacity to work as a member of a team or an individual
Experience communicating with people of diverse demographics
Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills
Capability to multi-task multiple projects/duties at once
Ability to follow directions both written and verbally
Integrity to safeguard confidential information
Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Working Conditions

Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical requirements necessary include walking, standing, bending, lifting, sitting, reaching, and typing on a computer for long periods of time
Ability to work in moderately noisy work environment for long periods of time and communicate effectively in this environment
