GOS Projects Limited - Our client, a conglomerate with HQ in Lagos, is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position below:

Job Title: General Manager, Marketing

Location: Lagos

Detailed Description/Responsibilities

We are looking to define, develop, implement and manage the marketing strategy and philosophy for our Paint Business. To this end, there is a need to fill the vacancy of "GM, Marketing'' who will focus on driving positive revenue and profitability whilst ensuring sustainable long-term market share growth in accordance with the Group's business objectives.
The post-holder will sets priorities for all marketing activities which include but not limited to; Above-The-Line (ATL) / Below-The-Line (BTL) activities, communication initiatives and projects, planning for scope of work, managing and implementing the work flow of the marketing department.
S/he will lead the Marketing Team in developing and maintaining marketing and Brand strategies to meet the overall profitability and growth objectives of the Paints business, while developing unique value propositions and go-to-market strategy for the Paints portfolio of brands.
The ongoing evolution of company's digital marketing strategy to support efficient and scalable awareness and thought leadership programs will also be the responsibility of the post-holder.

Requirements

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree in business with product marketing bent, minimum of 10 years' experience, with 6-7 years in progressive marketing roles with current/recent responsibility at senior management level.
However, experience in an FMCG company with global sales efforts and direct and indirect sales channels is preferred.
You must have proven ability to lead a proactive marketing organization and ensure accountability for results that maximizes contribution to business objectives, a track record of performance excellence, meeting targets and objectives, strong analytical, planning and budgeting/financial skills, excellent communications, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Further, you must be able to articulate vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals and the ability to manage multiple complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
