LAUTECH, a University of Technology, is a State-owned University (the Owner States being Oyo and Osun). Founded on 23rd April, 1990, the University is operating on two campuses; the main campus is situated in Ogbomoso, Oyo State while the second campus is in Osogbo, State of Osun. The following Faculties are in the main campus: Faculties of Agricultural Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences and Pure and Applied Sciences.

Job Description

• The Bursar is the Chief Finance Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration on financial affairs.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate must possess a good honours degree in Accounting/ Economics/Financial Management from recognised University.
• In addition, must possess a recognized professional qualification like ACCA, ACA, CPA, ICAN or any such nationally recognized accounting professional qualification.
• Possession of Higher Degree will be an advantage.
• The candidate should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience, five (5) of which must be at the Deputy Bursar’s level or equivalent status in University administration.
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing software is required.

The Person:

• The ideal candidate must have drive with strong passion for result and must:
• Be below the age of 60 years at the point of application and assumption of duty;
• Have strong leadership and communication skills;
• Be creative, proactive and self motivated; Have excellent interpersonal skill;
• Have integrity and commitment;
• Be ICT skilled; and
• Be in good physical and mental health.

Conditions Of Service

• The conditions attached to this position are as generally applicable in Nigerian University System and as may from time to time be determined by the Governing Council.
• Each appointment shall be for a single term of five (5) years.
