We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Pharmacist

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary

The position is based in Maiduguri, Borno State and reports to the Pharmacist.
The Assistant Pharmacist will assist the Pharmacist in ensuring the proper general functioning of the central pharmacy and efficient supply to the field health facilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Organize weekly environmental cleaning in the pharmacy warehouse and environs.
Monitor the humidity of the warehouse and temperature of all refrigerators containing medications or any cold chain products and record it on the follow up sheet. And in all the rooms under controlled temperature.
Report immediately any deviation from the expected temperature and humidity ranges to the pharmacy supervisor, enquire the reasons of the dysfunctions and propose possible solutions.
Ensure that all medical order and supply is adequate.
Assist the program team in the amendment of the weekly/monthly request: control and monitor the quantity ordered.
Ensure that the drugs supplied to the different centers are appropriate and necessary.
Ensure that appropriate storage of the drugs is occurring in the various centers.
Monitor stock inventory and consumption reporting.

Position Requirements

Degree in Pharmacy or any other related course.
Minimum of 1 year experience in stock pharmacy management.
Fluency in spoken and written English language. Hausa language is desirable.
Strong work ethic: punctuality, responsibility and flexibility.
Strong sense of organization and attention to details.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office and database systems).
