We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Control Officer

Location: Lagos
Job Level: Internal Control Officer
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description

• Ability to manage projects when required, supervise and ensure sound internal control practices.
• Review of the statutory returns to regulatory authorities and government agencies to ensure accuracy and timely rendition.
• Administration of audit committee meeting.
• Take over customers’ deposit misappropriation cases.
• Second level call over of daily transactions.
• Reconciliation of correspondent bank accounts to ensure transactions are not outstanding beyond 2 weeks and bringing the exercise up to date.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in Accounting and Economics preferably in Business or Finance.
• Excellent knowledge of banking/financial business operations and risk-based auditing attained in a supervising capacity through 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience with a focus on financial risk and regulatory requirements.
• Good knowledge of any banking software will be an advantage.
