Job Details

• The Bursar shall be the Head of the Finance Department of the University.
• The candidate for this position is expected to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the operation of the financial system of the University
• He/She shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day financial administration of the University.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidate for the post must possess a good honours Degree in Accounting or related discipline from a recognized University or Tertiary Institution as well as professionally recognized Accountancy qualification, such as AGMA, ACA. CPA, ACCA, ICAN. Possession of higher degree will be an advantage.
• The candidate should have at least fifteen (15) years post honours degree and ten (10) years after the professional qualification(s). In addition, the candidate must have at least ten (10) years relevant experience in a senior management position preferably in a University or comparable institution.
• Applicants must also be computer-literate and have a working knowledge of good Accounting packages.

Other Requirements:

• The right candidates must be resourceful and should have ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the emerging needs of the University; command respect and engender cooperation and loyalty of staff and students of the University.
• Candidates must also be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Terms and Condition of Service
Wesley University Ondo runs a remuneration package comparable to what obtains in Federal Universities and as approved from time to time by the Governing Council of the University Candidates will be entitled to the privileges, benefits and associated prerequisites as are obtainable in the Nigerian University System.
