UnoCasa Limited - Our client, a Transport and Logistics company is looking to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accident and Recovery Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

The accident and recovery officer would be in charge of prompt investigation and resolution of accidents and incidents involving the bus operating fleet.
The individual will ensure the recovery of all the bus operating fleet involved in accidents or towed by law enforcement authorities.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure that emergencies and operational incidents are addressed within reasonable time.
Support application of first aid treatment where necessary in road accident situations.
Coordinate evacuation of victim(s), in conjunction with official licensed authorities or make alternative arrangements in the event of delay
In the event of injuries or deaths, to liaise with relevant authorities and make timely and appropriate reports to relevant law enforcement authorities.
After the VIO inspections, apply for release of the buses and detained captains within a timeframe
Technically reconstruct accident scenes
Gather information and maintain evidence from relevant sources.
Facilitate meetings with affected family members, in fatal accident cases
Support that accident cases are promptly reported and remedial actions taken within duration commensurate with the nature and severity of the issue.
Prepare comprehensive reports to include completed accident forms, proof of ownership certificate of any affected vehicle(s), copies of driver’s license etc.
Follow-through with related authorities for road traffic accidents related reports
Liaise with legal department for all cases requiring legal intervention and documentation.
Undertake any other duties consistent with the position and as required by management.

Requirements

A minimum of HND/BSC in any field
Training on Operations Management
A minimum of 2 years experience in a logistics company
Professional certification with Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics Nigeria.
