Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (FUAM) - The Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (FUAM) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant position below:

Job Title: Chief Security Officer

Location: Makurdi, Benue

Job Description

• Applicants for this position must be those with clear vision, proven track records, professional ability and distinction in either private or government establishments.
• The Applicant should have exemplary leadership qualities capable of enhancing the trust of the University Administration, and be able to interact with all employees, students, public and other security agencies. Applicant must also be confident and pro-active.
• The Chief Security Officer reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor, and must also be able to provide the University Administration with regular security briefs, information and advice for appropriate use.

Requirements

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Law, Sociology, Public Administration or equivalent Arts/Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Education and Criminology from a recognized University with relevant experience in Security work, crime detection and prevention and must be physically fit and of good character.
• The Candidate must be an Ex-Service man not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police or equivalent ranks in the other arms of the Armed Forces. Registration with relevant Professional bodies, basic ICT skills, etc.

Age:

• Applicants must not be more than sixty (60) years of age at the time of appointment.

Health:

• Applicants must enjoy good health to be able to endure the rigours of the duties of the position.

Duration of Appointment

• The appointment shall be for a single term of Five (5) years.

• These are as approved for Federal Universities in the country and as may be modified from time to time by competent authorities.
