Hamilton Lloyd and Associates - Our client is a group of companies that specialize in industrial catering and entertainment, as well as engineering services. Due to internal expansion, they are looking to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Slots: 2 Openings

Job Purpose

• The Senior Accountant shall be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements to management for making strategic decisions by researching and analysing accounting data and preparing reports.

Accountabilities (Abridged)

• Establish and maintain financial policies and management information systems, as well as provide a high quality support service by liaising with management, colleagues on all aspects of finance.
• Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, Group account/ annual report and commentaries.
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
• Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
• Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements

Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required
• Chartered Accountant and relevant Master's Degree will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5-8 years cognate experience in Accounting
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
