Job Title: Program Assistant (Health)

Location: Abuja

Job Description

We wishe to hire a Program Assisant to support the day-to-day operations of the Nigeria Healthcare Financing and State-level Demand Side Financing Technical Assistance Programs, alongside other members of the project team based in Washington, DC and Abuja.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in administrative, operational, and technical aspects of the project.
Provide admin and technical support to its health systems, health financing, education, and nutrition programs in Nigeria.

Some Responsibilities

Perform and support internal administrative processes critical to the functioning of a rapidly growing team.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on technical and policy issues related to health systems and financing.
Contribute to the development of high quality work products which include presentations, concept notes, briefing materials, blog posts, newsletters, meeting summaries, etc.
Support the development of positive relationships with multiple stakeholders, including federal/state agencies, development partners, and Nigeria-based partner organizations.
Support the maintenance of existing relationships with in-country technical and governmental partners.
Provide management and logistics support for convening of stakeholder meetings, workshops and other collaborative forums.

Minimum Qualifications

BA in Economics, International Affairs, Public Health or Related Field
1-3 years of relevant work experience.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Experience working in a team environment.
Familiarity with Nigerian Context of Public Health and Health Systems.
Ability to think and solve problems in structured and logical manner.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with routine administrative and project management functions.
Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally, as required.
