Job Title: Graphics Designer

Location: Lagos, (Lekki, Onipan or Ketu)
Responsible To: Creative Director

Job Description

• Design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos.
• The graphic designer is expected to produce visual solutions to the communication needs of the Company & clients, using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties could include:

• Meeting with the creative director to determine the scope of a project
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts that identifies a product or convey a message.
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, logos and website
• Select colors, images, text style, and layout
• Review designs for errors and incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, and select style and size of type.
• Use computer software to generate new images and key information into computer equipment to create layouts for client or the creative director.
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer.

Entry Requirements

• High sense of arrangement and balancing for aesthetic
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe design tools
• Working understanding of design software e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Coreldraw, Powerpoint,
• A well-crafted portfolio
• Must know all about branding
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Experience with computer-aided design.
