Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko - The Government of Ondo State established Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, in 1999 while academic activities commenced in the year 2000. Within a short period, the University has developed in its academic programmes and infrastructural facilities, to become the pride of Ondo State and Nigeria. The University presently has over 17,000 students across its six Faculties and Postgraduate School and about 1,500 members of staff.

Description

• The post of Registrar of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, will be vacant from 12th May 2019. The Registry is the administrative hub of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko
• The Office of the Registrar is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to¬day administrative work of the University
• The Registry thus provides support services that enable the University achieve its goals in teaching, learning, research and community service.

Duties

• The Registrar is a Principal Officer of the University
• The candidate for the post shall be visionary, have the ability to provide good leadership and command respect and loyalty of staff of the Registry
• The Candidate must also possess integrity and demonstrable transparency
• The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and Secretary to the Council, the Senate, Congregation and Convocation
• He/She must be highly computer literate and proficient in relevant computer applications to e-administration, as applicable to the running of a complex and modern University system.

Qualification and Experience

• The person for the post of Registrar is required to possess a good Honours Degree, with at least Second Class (Lower Division) plus a Master's Degree from a recognized University and must have not less than eighteen years cognate experience in a University or an Institution of comparable status
• The candidate for this position must have served as a Deputy Registrar for at least 3 years
• Membership of a recognized professional body is required.

Duration of Appointment

• The appointment shall be for a period of five (5) years.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

• Successful candidates for the advertised positions will be entitled to the salary package as applicable to Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, like other public University in Nigeria
• The Laws and Conditions of Service of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko shall govern appointments into the advertised positions.
