Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this role is to support RSSA sales teams in capitalizing on opportunities through driving value-adding sales and proposals management activities and aligning all key stakeholders in the organization to a defined and holistic proposal strategy to secure profitable business.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain excellent relationships within the CU and with the various sales teams
Facilitating workshops at an early stage in the sales process and according to the Key Deals Way of Working to set the pursuit strategy and develop the value proposition
Facilitate the definition and implementation a proposal strategy across the proposal and sales teams
Provide consultative support and expertise to KAMs/accounts on proposal, commercial and negotiation strategies as well as tenders tactics
Support the sales teams with their strategic customer engagement activities including assisting in the conceptualization of executive summaries and value proposition documents, call plans and/or customer engagement plans
Ensure Sales Process and Key Deals governance adherence and awareness by sales teams and other relevant sales support organizations in RSSA
Assume the role of a Tender Controller - Highlight issues & risks encountered in opportunities to management and the Key Deals Steering Group
Be able to assume a project and quality management role for the proposal and sales strategy in a tender and conduct reviews of the quality of the overall proposal and commercial scope. When necessary or requested perform operative bid management support including administration of respective tools
Serve as a champion for proposal management activities and tools and ensure RSSA’s requirements are channeled to BU/GF
Drive awareness of the Key Deals Way of Working activities and other proposal management related trainings and competence measures towards KAM, Core-3 and relevant support organizations in RSSA
Provide guidance to Bid Management/Bid officeand the Core 3
Involve and manage Commercial Management staff in Key Deal opportunities and deals to ensure commercial excellence
Drive improvement programs within the Commercial Area as assigned by the Head of Bid and Proposal Management
Perform any other duties required by Head of Bid and Proposal Management as defined from time to time, which are related to Commercial Management.
