Responsibilities
The person will among other responsibilities carry out the following:

• Oversee the purchasing of technical goods and services for art industrial operation.
• Lead and execute sourcing of Production Equipment. Spare Parts. Facility Management, and or Professional services spend category. To perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable Suppliers.
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Craft negotiation strategies and Close deals with optimal terms
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand, Analyze historical spend data and budget, and define categories strategies
• Apply the purchasing process flows in line with the category strategy
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Define particular terms and conditions
• Negotiate proposals and finalize contracts
• Any other assignment that may be given from time to time by superior officers
• Drive Continuous improvement culture and high level of employee engagement at all levels in Department
• Provide leadership and guidance in the development of people to provide a strong bench for backfills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Bachelor of Engineering/Higher National Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor Technical. MBA with relevant Professional Certification will be an added advantage.

• Not more than 45 years. Proactive, Self motivated. Disciplined, Assertive, Analytical. very Energetic with good team leadership skills and must be a team playe

Experience:

• A minimum eight (8) Years’ working experience in Procurement in a Manufacturing Industry (FMCG is an added advantage)
