We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of IT

Job Description
  • The Head of IT will have a hands-on leadership role to assure the successful development and delivery of an Information management and supporting systems and technologies strategy that integrates into the Business strategy and supports the company vision and objectives.
  • The role is responsible for the overall management of the IT team, technical infrastructure, networks and security, information systems and helpdesk.
  • The role takes ownership for all aspects of information technology operations and Management and ensures integrity of IT systems as well as meets SLAs.
Key Aims and Objectives
  • Lead the development of the ICT strategy and budget and ensure the strategy supports the business objectives including ongoing review in response to the fast-changing business environment and providing regular assessments of delivery against it.
  • Lead policies and standards definition; take responsibility for governance and ensure compliance throughout the business units, legislative, qualitative or other authorizing policies governing the management of change initiatives and standards.
  • Maintain and Provide Technical Leadership and enhance the knowledge of the IT team.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure 24/7 availability and capacity for recovery
  • Ensure Service level requirements are met
Prime Responsibilities and Duties
  • Research, design and implement technical solutions for business needs.
  • Technical leadership, direction and construct deployment strategies.
  • Document procedures, technical designs, performance reports, problem determination and update ticketing system.
  • Hands on infrastructure administration, 3rd level support
  • Coaching, Knowledge transfers and mentor junior team members.
  • Ensure helpdesk tickets are all attended within the SLA requirements
  • Leads the team to support the day-to-day IT operations related to the networks and telecom, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory and group policies, security, patching, and endpoint management
  • Responsible for Microsoft Hyper-V environments and all third-party applications running on the Microsoft platform as well as an instance of Citrix XenServer
  • Responsible for the Microsoft office 365 and Azure environment.
  • Oversees backups management for disaster recovery and ensuring maximum system availability and performance.
  • Perform or oversee all technical tasks execution.
  • Provide technical recommendations and problem resolution.
  • Evening and weekend work required periodically and occasional on call availability
Requirements
Technical:
  • A Bachelor's Degree enhanced with technical training and certification or equivalent.
  • Must have 10 + years of experience in support, systems and network administration
  • Must have 5+ years of leadership or management experience in leading IT operational teams
  • He should have relevant hands-on IT system experience in a corporate IT environment implementing and administrating physical and virtual environment. Cloud is a plus.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage Windows servers (2012, 2008) in a variety of roles, including Active Directory management and administration of GPOs, user accounts, shares, security permissions, DFS, domain trusts and cloud solutions.
  • Possess technical skills in areas of network management, WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, FTP, Proxy, traffic routing, Firewall and routers and Web technologies.
  • Proven experience in deploying and administrating virtual infrastructures in a highly available environment, Microsoft Office 365, Azure and other Cloud technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of server hardware and technical configuration.
  • Experience with server, network and security monitoring tools.
  • Experience in delivering high quality, customer focussed services
  • Takes a logical approach to analysing problems. Systematically researches information. Explores alternatives and implements action plans to resolve problems.
  • Proactive in acquiring information to develop new skills to improve job performance. Grasps new material quickly and easily, and applies new information, concepts and procedures in a constructive manner.
Personal:
  • Skilled in coordinating flow of information and communication with the ability to effectively manage time and work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (including the ability to draft understandable, clear and consistent documents on topics within the areas of responsibility) Detailed attention to quality of deliverables.
