One Precious Life (OPL) Academy - Our client, a Construction company based in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to recruit suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Site Engineer who will be responsible for working on construction projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities
The Site Engineer will:

Oversee building work and manage multiple construction sites
Undertake surveys and levels
Set out sites and organize facilities
Check technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
Prepare an execution plan from the master plan submitted, breaking down the work elements and how it will be executed
Negotiate the prices of materials and track orders
Supervise contracted staff, junior engineers and all artisans
Ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets and timescales
Liaise with subcontractors and other professional staff especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
Provide technical advice and solve problems on site
Prepare site reports, method statements and other paperwork

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Building or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building construction as a site engineer
Experience in starting and finishing at least five(5) projects between 600Million-1Billion
In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design.
Familiarity with developing a Site Safety plan
Proficient in the use of computer software like Microsoft project
Proven track record of managing personnel and material resources
Exemplary critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
Excellent client relations skills
Strong time management and project management skills
Dedication to learning new concepts and strategies
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
