Pharmacy Technician at Jesuit Memorial College (JMC)

Jesuit Memorial College (JMC) is Catholic boarding secondary school in Port Harcourt, Nigeria for boys and girls. Open to all, Christians and non-Christians, it is owned and run by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). It was opened in 2013 in memory of 60 students of Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja, Nigeria who died in Sosoliso plane crash of 10 December 2005. JMC provides a well-rounded education in terms of conscience, competence, commitment and compassion.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Rivers
Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary

• The Pharmacy Technician will maintain Pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock, process prescriptions in a safe, efficient and effective manner, maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations in order to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
• He/She will be available to work into night and on weekends.
• He or she will be a role model for students.

Qualifications

• Appropriate certificate from a recognized school of Health Technology or any other higher qualification in the field is required.
• Must possess a current practice license from the relevant body.

Experience:

• At least 2 years proven experience as Pharmacy Technician.

Personal Qualities:

• Effective communication and presentation skills, good command of English Language (written and spoken), good understanding of adolescent psychology, good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others, good attention to details, patient friendly and good client care etiquette, ability to work effectively with minimum supervision, proficiency in use of Computer Programmes such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Corel Draw.
