Security Advisor at the American University of Nigeria (AUN)

In collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking for:

Job Title: Security Advisor

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Department: Atiku Center (AENEN)
Nature of Employment: Project Assignment
Duration: 3 years

Summary of Position

• The Security Advisor will provide overall guidance and direction for all security matters that the project staff will likely encounter.
• S/he will also be responsible for security of staff both local and international while ensuring security of training venues and travel to sites.
• The position holder reports to the Chief of Party.

Position Requirements

• BSc in Sociology and other Social Sciences with 5 years’ experience managing project security
• MSC in security studies plus 2 years’ experience managing project security
• At least 5 years’ experience in security profession
• Retired military/police and or other security service
• Experienced in the north east security field
• Knowledge and experience of security equipment
• Good understanding of child and women rights matters
• Good network within Nigerian security profession
• Good ICT Skills to be tested

Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and job classification as approved by the Project.
