Job Description
The Operations Associate would be working hand in hand with the Operations Manager in improving the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning
The operations associate is to coordinate all the activities of the hubs.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and be fully responsible for:
Managing the organization’s fleet and ensuring field fleet security by making necessary arrangements or coordinating any evacuation that may be needed
Ensure there is an up-to-date hub inventory and records
Responsible for follow up and timely delivery of packages to customers.
Assist the Operations Manager in Implementing and maintaining operations processes and procedures, reporting on performance and initiating improvements for operations, ensuring continuous adherence to, and off service-level-agreements with customers and partners.
Developing and implementing the strategy for the growth and management of our operations and fleet across Nigeria.
Develop a strategy for expansion and managing of ACE distribution hubs across Nigeria.
Work with third-party logistics partners and in-house fleet to improve delivery performance and on time delivery
Assisting in the Hiring, training, developing and appraising staff effectively (including; taking corrective action as necessary) with a goal of building a world-class team of operations staff, in-house riders, drivers and third-party logistics partners to ensure the high successful delivery rate and excellent customer satisfaction.
Hold Third Party Logistics Provider accountable to hit KPI goals and enforce contractual obligations.
Identify and deliver opportunities for cost reduction, driving savings in-line with overall business expectations.
Ensure targets for cost reduction are achieved and/ or exceeded.
Develop service level agreements and collaborate with Sourcing groups to negotiate contractual terms.
Act as subject matter expert regarding fulfilment centers, transportation operations, and distribution models.
Desired Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of previous logistics and operations experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related business discipline (MBA is a plus, Master's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field is a plus).
Working knowledge of the entire logistics process from receipt of packages, delivery to the end-customer and return logistics to our partner merchants.
Demonstrated planning, project management, problem-solving techniques and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management, as well as with customer contacts.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and manage competing priorities
Strong project management and leadership skills
Extremely detail-oriented
Proven ability to work under pressure and solve problems in fast-paced environments
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Ability to respect confidentiality with respect to HR and financial issues
An analytical mindset with strong problem solving, communication, and writing skills
Experience in managing a third party Logistics Provider.
Experience in materials management, i.e., transportation, purchasing, inventory management
