Fucked up Company, always recruiting

Please, for you own good, avoid this company, my sister worked there and I know what she passed through, she was always complaining and praying God for a new job until she was sacked for nothing, I mean for nothing. The Company pays its staff peanuts, even professionals are paid next to nothing, they can hardly do anything for themselves, no increment, the MD fires you at the slightest and un-meaningful provocation, you are just entitled to just your little salary, no leave, no leave allowance, or any other benefit of any sort, they go to work during Christmas holidays and do not observe public holidays, they collect your original Certificate (who does that?), they just keep recruiting and firing, that is why you see their adverts every now and then, I wonder why hotnigerianjobs keeps advertising for them, ask them what happened to the ones hired and why they are hiring a replacement so soon, working in that company is equivalent to slavery, nobody talks, please do not waste your precious time applying because you will not be paid the industry standard, do not bother leaving where you currently enjoy peace to move to where you will be enslaved and threatened with sack, you will regret it, it is high time people started avoiding their adverts, let the MD go and pack his relations and village people whom he will pay change and yell at anyhow to do his work, NONSENSE,Oil and Gas Company indeed.

Hmmmmm, I have a cousin that worked there too, the company bears Oil and Gas for nothing, there pay is nonsense! That Certificate own off me, who really does that? This is the problem with the Nigerian Labour Congress, this is type of company they should go after, rubbish company.

Well unemployment is of a high increase in Nigeria. If the company does not owe their staff, the fact they pay little does not mean anything. To me if they call me for interview and propose how much they will pay me, it is left for me to agree on their amount or reject the offer.

I just google the company and it was listed as top oil and gas company in Nigeria by infoguidenigeria.com/oil-and-gas-companies. I think they are doing well for them to have such recognition by google, my opinion though.

@Sugar Coated, when I see comments like yours, I tend to give credence to the president's remark on our youths being lazy. For me, your comment resonates with the inability of your sister to keep up in a fast pace work environment, she was simply lazy and could not just follow up. I believe she must have been issued a termination letter, do you not think that you would be doing the reading masses good to post same here? Maybe we could see the reason for her sack therein.

alot of Nigerians are quick to criticise employers when they are incompetent, every company strives on competence, Lets not be enemies of progress to job seekers, that you failed does not mean others will fail too, as what does not work for Mr A may work for Mr B.

@Gidi, If they call you for interview,go, I am not saying you shouldn't go, but just no that you are walking into slavery with your two eyes open if you are eventually hired, you will even come to appreciate unemployment more.

@special one, this is not about random criticism, I know what I m talking about, imagine being paid below 100k and very slightly above 100k in an Oil and Gas Company in a City like Port Harcourt, with the heavy cost of rent/living,with no form of allowance, no leave, nothing else get to your pocket apart from you your token salary, leave am abeg, I know what I m saying, I do not want to say more, at least pay me adequately and enslave me, I will take solace in the pay, not pay me a token and strangulate me. I don't really want to say much, the MD is simply greedy, he thinks only about himself, the welfare of his workers means nothing to him, the man does not just care, and he will just sack you for nothing, I will not say anything more again, a word is enough for the wise, I won't wrote anything any longer, I know that one day, we all we see someone make this same complaints and probably in a more damaging dimension, I only hope it is nor too late for the company by then. Bye

@Bless, You do not know my sister, it will be best you don't make defenses for this particular company because you do not know them more than I do, you can conduct your survey if you are skilled to, you will find out even more worrying things about that company, do not be surprise when you see Association of ex-Chibeco staff protest on the street, it might get to that level, you see this matter, just leave am, I m more informed than you. I won't make any further comment on this section again.
