We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Petrophysicist

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Purpose Statement

The role identifies and quantifies hydrocarbon resources in the subsurface and evaluates the nature and distribution of rock properties and formation fluids over the life cycle of reservoirs.

Key Deliverables

Deliver Open Hole Log Answer Products as inputs for Volumetrics and Reserve data
Deliver Cased Hole Answer Products for Re-Completions and Well diagnostics for Sub-optimal Reservoir performance
Deliver Petrophysical Answer Products for rig operations, mud gas, and Gas Chromatographs Analyses.
Deliver Logging, Sampling, Pressure and Coring programs , respective Supervisions and Interpretations and integration towards a great petrophysical product consistent with conceptual models / Geologic Models
Understanding of development Logging and Interpretation deliverables.
Writing and Reviewing of Logging Programs
Deliver quality petrophysical products in operational timeframes on a real-time basis and other times as required.
Provide cement log interpretations for testing applications and other Case Hole Logs like Saturation and C/O logs.
Review core description and thin section analysis for petrophysical integration.
Required to carry out ad-hoc petrophysical evaluation for completions, geophysicist, geologic-modelling et.c
Deliver Subsurface Interface Answer Products in a Multidiscipline Environment
Deliver Petrophysical Products for Field Development Plan , Drilling Proposals , Completions and Re-Completions Proposals
Deliver Well-Site Visits Products
Deliver Multi-Approach to Fluid Typing for Heavy and light Oil

Minimum Qualification/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Geology / Physics / Geophysics /Petroleum Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Petrophysical analysis of clastics / sedimentary basins.
Strong working knowledge of Interactive Petrophysics (IP) required, experience in Techlog could also be considered
Highly experience in OH log data acquisition, and interpretation, cased hole skills will be a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:

Open Hole Log Analyses
Cased Hole Log Analyses
Petrophysical log Interpretation Software in arriving at the answer products
Technical Report Writing Skills
MS-Office Application
Mud log Interpretation
Core-log Interpretation
Reserve Computations / Volumetrics Computations
Knowledge of Seismic Petrophysics is an advantage.

Able to work with minimal supervision
Must possess good analytical and decision making skills
Ability to interpret complex data
